A cruel dog owner whose German Shepherd lost more than half his body weight and was days away from death has been banned from owning an animal for 25 years as well as being given a 12-month supervision order.
The dog was covered in mange, suffering from severe malnutrition with his weight plummeting to 40lbs. The average weight of a German Shepherd Hobo’s age is between 57 and 66lb.
The vets wanted to put him down straight away, but gave him three days to see if he improved.
Student vet nurse Ruth Bates, one of the first nurses to look after him, said: ‘None of us thought he was going to make it but we thought we’d give him a few days.
She also stated; ‘It was really bad, I had never seen anything like that before and I have been in the veterinary practice for about six years’
These days Hobo is living a happy and healthy life on a couples farm in Bedfordshire.
He has been on courses of antibiotics, skin treatments and painkillers and is now up to his maximum weight of 66lb

It sickens me to think any one could do this to any living creature I hope karma comes round to to that maggot there are some sick twists in this world! At least there were some wonderful people who nursed that poor dog back to health I feel sorry for the ones that dont make it
A very long and painfull death is what that bitch needs. Who the hell does she think she is
